Children’s Corner Daycare is a trusted full-time childcare provider located in Dartmouth, NS, with a rich history dating back to its establishment in 1979. For over 40 years, we have been dedicated to offering safe, enjoyable, and dependable daycare services. Our facility comprises two divisions: the daycare, catering to children aged 3 months to 5 years, and the before & after school program, serving children aged 5 to 12.

Under the dedicated leadership of Merissa Simms, an experienced Elementary School Teacher with over 15 years of service in education and community outreach, and Director Danielle Munroe, who brings over 12 years of expertise working with children and youth, Children’s Corner Daycare is passionately committed to nurturing student success and helping children realize their full potential. Danielle has been an integral part of the Children’s Corner team since 2017, infusing her leadership with valuable experience and a steadfast dedication to fostering an inclusive environment that cultivates positive relationships among staff, children, and families.

Joining them is Brittney, who holds a Bachelor's Degree in Child and Youth Studies from Mount Saint Vincent University and has over 12 years of experience in the field. Since joining in 2019, Brittney has consistently shown her commitment to delivering exceptional care to children and their families, actively engaging in continuous learning to stay updated with the latest developments in the field and supporting the implementation of innovative strategies in the classroom setting.

At Children’s Corner, the safety and well-being of your children are our top priorities. That's why we meticulously select staff members who undergo continuous professional training to stay abreast of the latest in Early Childhood Education (ECE). Additionally, all our staff are trained in first aid and CPR, and they have successfully passed thorough background checks, including child abuse, criminal record, and vulnerable sector screenings. With these rigorous standards in place, you can trust that your child is in capable and caring hands at our center.
